Yaba Village in Abaji Area Council, Abuja, became the latest beneficiary of the Citizen Journalists Network (CJN) Brother’s Keeper Campaign through a Community Healthcare Response and Free Medical Campaign championed by Queen Joy Michael.
Queen Joy Michael, the 2nd place winner of the Brother’s Keeper Challenge organized by CJN, led the initiative as part of her humanitarian project focused on increasing access to quality healthcare services for underserved communities at the grassroots level.
The campaign brought together healthcare professionals and volunteers to provide free medical support and health awareness services to members of the Yaba community.
Healthcare areas covered during the outreach included:
General Medicine
Physiotherapy
Optometry
Nursing
Nutrition and Dietetics
Pharmaceutics
Diagnostics and Testing
In a strong show of solidarity and humanitarian commitment, other participants of the Brother’s Keeper Challenge also joined the outreach to support Queen Joy Michael and the CJN team in delivering impactful community healthcare services.
CJN expressed sincere appreciation to all the medical practitioners and volunteers who contributed their time, expertise, and resources toward the success of the campaign and the wellbeing of the beneficiaries.
The initiative further reflects CJN’s commitment to promoting localized solutions, community empowerment, and sustainable humanitarian interventions across underserved communities.
