Citizen Journalists Network (CJN), through its humanitarian initiative, the Brother’s Keeper Challenge, has continued to drive community development with the implementation of a full scholarship program in Ntezi Community, Ebonyi State.
The scholarship project was executed by Queen Grace Ufomba, winner of the Brother’s Keeper Challenge — a competition organized by CJN that empowers participants to develop practical solutions to humanitarian challenges and promote sustainable community development.
As part of her pet project following her emergence as winner of the challenge, Queen Grace Ufomba launched the Back-to-School scholarship campaign aimed at supporting children from low-income families and reducing the number of out-of-school children in Ntezi Community.
The Scholarship Package Covers:
• Tuition levies
• School bags
• Books, mathematics sets, and writing materials
• School uniforms
• School sandals
The initiative is designed to ease the financial burden on families while encouraging children to remain committed to their education. Beneficiaries are only required to attend school consistently and remain focused on their studies.
Worthy of note is that, this campaign was greatly made possible by CJN Ambassador, Onwe Zack-Elvis who is a native and major voice for progressive change in Ntezi Community. Appreciation also goes to Ntezi People's Forum for organizing a successful event and for its continued commitment to promoting localized solutions that drive sustainable development within the community.and driving localized solutions for the development of their community.
