Citizen Journalists Network (CJN) has unveiled its pioneer Brother’s Keeper Community Closet program as part of the ongoing Brother’s Keeper Campaign.
The Brother’s Keeper Community Closet is a free store initiative designed to provide members of the public with access to new and gently used clothing items at no cost. The program allows individuals and families to shop for free on a first-come, first-served basis.
The community closet features clothing items for men, women, teenagers, and children in various sizes, making support accessible to people across different age groups and needs.
The first free store was launched in Mabushi Community, Abuja, with available items including formal, semi-formal, casual, and domestic wear.
Through this initiative, CJN aims to promote dignity, compassion, and community support by ensuring that individuals and families in need can access quality clothing without financial burden.
CJN anticipates expanding the Community Closet program to other communities and regions in the future, increasing its impact and reaching more beneficiaries across the country.
