Humanitarian Action

Citizen Journalists Network (CJN) marked 2020 World Humanitarian Day by giving some children of low-income homes from Gwagwalada Area Council, Abuja, a memorable first-time experience through an educational excursion to Thought Pyramid Art Centre, Abuja.
The outing was organized to expose the children to creativity, learning, and new opportunities beyond their immediate environment, while also encouraging self-expression and personal development.
The event was also structured inline with the CJN’s Art and Craft Campaign for underprivileged children in Abuja — an initiative championed by Brother’s Keeper 3rd place winner, Ufuoma Macaulay.
Through this initiative, CJN continues to promote education, creativity, and social inclusion for vulnerable children, while providing platforms that nurture talent and inspire hope for a brighter future.
Special appreciation was extended to humanitarian champions and frontline heroes across the world for their sacrifices, compassion, and commitment to improving lives and strengthening communities.
“You are the real superheroes.”
