
National Unity Dance Festival - Citizen Journalists Network joins Drum Majors For Peace, National Centre for Arts and Culture, Blackbones Theatre Kompany, other stakeholders

The National Unity Dance Project is a peacebuilding campaign designed to promote a more peaceful, united, and prosperous Nigeria through arts, culture, and creative engagement.
The project was formally launched on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at the Cyprian Ekwensi Centre for Arts and Culture, Abuja, in commemoration of World Dance Day.
Organized by Drum Majors for Peace in partnership with the National Centre for Arts and Culture (NCAC), Citizen Journalists Network (CJN), and Blackbones Theatre Kompany, the event brought together key stakeholders from the creative and entertainment industry, civil society organizations, government institutions, and the youth sector to engage in meaningful discussions around national unity and social cohesion.
The event featured participation from several distinguished dignitaries, including:
Dr. Ahmed Mohammed — Artistic Director/CEO, National Troupe of Nigeria
Mr. Kayode — Deputy Director, Performing Arts, Social Development Secretariat, National Centre for Arts and Culture
Comrade Solomon Adodo — President, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN)
Dr. Austin Nwaulune — Director of Digital Economy, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC)
Michael Edem-Duke — President, Citizen Journalists Network (CJN)
Dr. Dan Akpaida — CEO, Upland Realtors Ltd
Engr. Jator Abido — National Coordinator, Niger Delta Youth Council (NDYC)
Comrade Jude Imagwe — Former Special Assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan on Youths and Student Affairs
The National Unity Dance Project continues to serve as a platform for fostering dialogue, cultural expression, and collective action toward national development and peaceful coexistence.
